Are you just zoomin' through the day?

What is your intention for the week? For the day? Or even... for this next hour?

In the world we are living in today, I think it is especially important to be intentional as to how we want to show up in the world.

Try this exercise throughout the week and see if you notice a shift in perspective....

"Today, my intention is to be....

Present

Creative

Confident

Helpful

Kind

Calm

Patient

Joyful

Authentic

This is an exercise that I go through every day. Trust me... some days are easier than others. I will often a reminder for myself mid morning to "check in" with myself & see where I am out.

Next time you are walking into a room, try this exercise. Whether it be a important meeting, a family gathering (that you may even be resisting), or the grocery store on a Saturday afternoon - how do YOU want to show up?

Here are some examples to give you some ideas on how you can walk work through this exercise for yourself. What I found worked best for me, is to prompt myself to anchor in 3 words describing how I want to show up!

Important meeting - Confident. Authentic. Knowledgeable

Family Gathering - Open. Playful. Non Judgemental.

Grocery Store - Patient, Grateful, Kind.

Over the next few weeks, I invite you to give this exercise a try and see if you notice a difference in how you go through these various experiences. Life is too precious to simply be going through the motions and checking things off just for the sake of "doing things".
